Fourth Chilli Bean Surfboard

Widely regarded as one of the best ever UK  surf models with tonnes of online reviews and many a happy surfer made. The Fourth Chilli Bean Surfboard is built for any surfer who understands that if you’re not afraid of slightly more foam you can go shorter than you’d imagined possible. We have taken some foam off the rail to add an element of ease to turning the board.

The Chilli Bean is designed to absolutely maximise the fun to be had in average, everyday surf.  Catch almost as many waves as a longboard when you jump on one of these boards. not to mention, gliding over the flat sections whilst being super responsive underfoot.  EASY, FAST, and FUN is what the Chilli Bean is all about!

The Tech Stuff

The curvaceous outline, rounded tail and more relaxed rocker means that the board is designed to cruise and carve in anything from knee to over head waves. When set-up as a quad the Chilli Bean will fly down the line with just a little encouragement.

In terms of design, this board is essentially a reload for intermediate surfers or surfers of a bigger build. With single to double concave’s, relaxed entry and exit rockers. Foam distribution which gives the best balance between float and control. The Fourth Chilli Bean isideal as a first shortboard or intermediate all-rounder.

The best fins to use in the Fourth chilli Bean surfboard is the Fcs 2 Reactor 5 fin set.

Technology

Base Construction

Base Construction(a polyurethane blank with polyester resin) is still considered the most versatile and all-round performance specific construction used the world over by touring surf professionals. At Fourth Surfboards only premium materials are used to produce top-quality boards; US Blanks at the core in blue foam and Hexcel Glass for the laminate bonded with Silmar resin for best balance between weight, performance and durability.

The Fourth construction method sees the board finished in 24/7 heat controlled environments to ensure curing times are at optimum levels to reach a finish unrivalled in Europe. The board is then sanded to a 240 dry sand finish ensuring that there is zero plastic lacquer on the board that can often look and feel horrible after a couple of months in the ocean.
