Fourth Freshblade DS Surfboard

£659.00

The Fourth Freshblade DS surfboard is our ultimate high performance surfboard. Tighter arcs, maximum speed and explosive rail to rail transitions. As modern surfing leans towards airs and fin free manoeuvres, we’ve made a board that is as forgiving as it can be within these parameters. This means you can apply all your focus on committing to that next big section and pushing your limits with optimum confidence.

Description

Fourth Freshblade DS Surfboard

Our all new high performance shortboard template. The Fourt Freshblade DS Surfboard focuses on instant speed and the ability to hold on rail through powerful turns. These focus points make it a high performing board for all manor of next level surfing. You can always self generate speed and hold it on rail so this board is great for airs and extension without losing control.

YOUR BEST SURFING

Single concaves run throughout which keep the mid part of the board flat and engaged in forward drive, the rails maintain a continuous curve so pivot through turns can be really quick without sliding out.

BE DYNAMIC WITH YOUR SURFING

I have added a fairly unique but subtle double concave  which I run into the hard edge of the rail line, i put this in by hand to ensure I get the ultimate blend of a board that will pivot with lots of drive out of a turn.

MORE SPEED, MORE POWER!

The rockers are medium high with some extra kick in the tail and a steady entry rocker. The rails are boxier than previous shortboards i have done to cope with the extra curve in the rail.i want this board really smooth through transitions not at all sticky so this part of the rail shape is key when considering the rest of the design. The foil is thicker than ive done previously in my shortboard foils and this has helped keep it very stable a drivey. The deck line get more and more domed the further it gets to the nose, again this is keeping foam where you need it and adding sensitivity to the area of the board you use when leaning hard into turns.
All in all this board will be really fast, offer plenty of drive and hold, but give you the release when transitioning from rail to rail. It’s the ultimate all rounder performer.

Who should ride this surfboard?

Solid surfers looking for lots of performance in a wider range of waves.

Technology

Base Construction

Base Construction (a polyurethane blank with polyester resin) is still considered the most versatile and all-round performance specific construction used the world over by touring surf professionals. At Fourth Surfboards only premium materials are used to produce top-quality boards; US Blanks at the core in blue foam and Hexcel Glass for the laminate bonded with Silmar resin for best balance between weight, performance and durability.

The Fourth construction method sees the board finished in 24/7 heat controlled environments to ensure curing times are at optimum levels to reach a finish unrivalled in Europe. The board is then sanded to a 240 dry sand finish ensuring that there is zero plastic lacquer on the board that can often look and feel horrible after a couple of months in the ocean.
