5’10 Fourth Shank Surfboard
The curve in the back half of this 5’10 Fourth Shank Surfboard gives the board plenty of pivot off the tail. Outline, rocker and bottom shaper combine to make it super responsive off the tail. The nose width is pretty wide which balances out the stability/sensitivity ratios meaning the board will keep its mobility at lower speeds. It’s freedom on rail without bogging or sliding out at higher speeds gives it great diversity in a range of waves.
The Tech Stuff
Continuous Curves with Deep single concave.
The balance between the nose width and tail width is key to the effortless carves and rail surfing that you can achieve on the shank. The rails are that of a standard shortboard in shape and thickness. With harder edges slightly higher up to offer a nice platform off the bottom and plenty of release through turns. The deck is flattter to keep a stable platform. The rail and hard edge complement the wider swallow tail beautifully as a guide for that extra foam. The added tail channels provide more lift and the ability to push your turns harder in the pocket. This Surfboard feels good at in better waves. When the waves get weaker, you still have so much poise and stability that you get the opportunity to spank a section regardless.
