5’7 Lost Puddle Jumper Surfboard (Sold)

£345.00

The Lost Original Puddle Jumper is the “Greatest Groveler Ever.” A wave-catching machine that’s fast, playful, and built for radical turns even in small surf.

This particular board was owned by Teeps for a bit, but only got surfed a handful of times. In that respect, the board is in great condition, with only light dimples on teh deck, and one nearly invisible repair on the side – see images. Construction wise this board is in the Lost’s patented Carbon Wrap, which is lightweight, tough, and has loads of pop.

An excellent board at an excellent price.

Description

The Puddle Jumper is a con-caved, planing surfacer speeder. Domestic bliss with a twist. Based off the outline of the Bottom Feeder, but with reversed bottom and rocker curves. This board, unlike the past Domestic models (like The Bottom Feeder and RV) features a concave bottom that transitions to vee in the tail. The wide outline makes for easy wave catching and down the line glide and stability. The concave bottom adds lift and increased rail curve, which allows radical top to bottom surfing. The straight rail line and vee in the tail keep the board moving forward and hold in during hard carving maneuvers. “This is the most excited I have ever been about a small wave surfboard. Personally, it’s the best small wave board I have ever ridden. I have never made a claim like that about any board before”

Technology

Base Construction

Base Construction(a polyurethane blank with polyester resin) is still considered the most versatile and all-round performance specific construction used the world over by touring surf professionals. At Fourth Surfboards only premium materials are used to produce top-quality boards; US Blanks at the core in blue foam and Hexcel Glass for the laminate bonded with Silmar resin for best balance between weight, performance and durability.

The Fourth construction method sees the board finished in 24/7 heat controlled environments to ensure curing times are at optimum levels to reach a finish unrivalled in Europe. The board is then sanded to a 240 dry sand finish ensuring that there is zero plastic lacquer on the board that can often look and feel horrible after a couple of months in the ocean.
