Each Love Machine model is a scanned singular surfboards. That means each individual size of each model we build is 3D scanned from a hand shaped source-board, not digitally scaled or created.

When Ryan was young he always assumed that things were created by the people who’s names were on the thing. Especially the things that were special to us. That principle shaped his ideas, and became the framework for his desire to put his name on something special.
Living in Santa Barbara and through a combination of being a workaholic, as well as gluten for punishment, Ryan Lovelace surfboards came to be. Now recognised across the globe as one of the leading shapers of his generation his recent victory in the STAB Electric Acid surfboard test is a testament to this.
Now sharing his time between Hawaii and California, he continues to be humble, grateful, relentlessly curious, and always open for a new adventure. Qualities that run true through every board associated with his name, whether that’s a hand shaped custom by Ryan, or a machine shaped surfboard derived from one of his customs.
