The 6’1 Maurice Cole RV shorty is an all round short board tht packages the versatility of MC’s iconic features in a shorter package. The vee in the nose makes for easy paddling, take offs, and cutting through chop. There is single with double in the back half, and vee out the tail adding squirt, easy rail to rail, and pivot when surfed off the back foot. Las but not least it carries the classic MC hard rail from tip to toe, giving grip and release that both inspires confidence whils being alot of fun.
This particular board was shaped by Maurice whilst he was working out of France, and found its way to us through one of our team members who surfed it for a year. Its a super easy surfing shortboard that can handle anything from waist to comfortably overhead. At slightly bigger dims this board would suit a heavy set surfer looking for a shorter rail board, or the lighter surfer looking for an easy entry into the shortboarding world. Thats not to say this board cant rip, the RV shorty is loved by some of teh best surfers in the world.
Despite some use the board is in remarkably good condition with only light dimpling on teh deck and an almost clean bottom. See images for detail. There was one professional repair on the tail which is slightly visible but functionally perfect (see image). Going here for a bargain price whilst offering a great opportunity to not only get a great surfboard but also a bit of MC history.
