The Muffin Tops roots are in Axels most popular board the O.G. Like the O.G. it pivots in the pocket and has a suprisingly broad range of conditions. Unlike the O.G. it carries more volume and a fuller outline that help it fly when it comes to tackling the crumbly stup. Likewise, it differs in that on the bottom it carries a vee double concave all the way through the tail. This combined with a quad fin setup keeps it spicy and fast down the line in average conditions, but still goes rail-to-rail easily and in control when things get steeper. The pulled-in tail also ensures it won’t slip out when things increase in size.
The Muffin Top is ideal for those upgrading from a soft top to a hard board or for shredders who want to ride crappy waves like it’s pumping. And when it’s really firing ? This board still delivers.
