Description

During the shortboard revolution surfing in general underwent a radical period of change. It was during this time that Axel designed The Original Gangster, which has gone one to become an iconic surfboard, and the foundation for a generation of versatile one board quivers style boards that followed.

The wider outline of the board gives surfers more volume under the chest, makes paddling easier and helps to catch waves. Once on the wave, the board carries speed down the line, whilst the pulled in round pin tail adds hold when carving hard or charging steeper, bugger waves.

Overall, the Original Gangster is a fast and forgiving board that has loads of room to advance for progressing surfers. Its ability to catch waves easily, whilst also engaging the tail with drive and control delivers a responsive yet controlled feel. For many that combination of easy surfing and great versatility make for an addictive surfing experience.

The O.G. and the best.
